An adventurer of the rugged Himalayan landscape
With more than 15 years of experience, I am a passionate hiker who has explored the tranquil valleys of the Indian Himalayas. I started my journey as a traveller in Himachal Pradesh, but over time, my curiosity to explore the unexplored has driven multiple journeys into the heart of the mountains. In the last five years, my focus has been on better understanding the landscape and culture of Uttarakhand.
Over the years, I have learnt to perform treks independently, finding my way across the isolated areas and dwellings of the Indian Himalayas. This was only possible due to extensive knowledge of topographic maps, navigational skills, mapping tools, ultra-light gear, and meteorological awareness refined over years of hiking.
Beyond the excitement of adventure, the mountains, meadows, rivers, and people hold a revered place in my heart. Through meaningful interactions and cultural exchanges, I have developed a profound regard and admiration for the Uttarakhand region's rich tapestry of human legacy, which includes distinctive traditions, temples, food, and way of life.
We may not estimate the impact of walking in the woods. Various studies suggest that even an hour's walk in the woods leads to significant changes in the brain that can help combat depression. We all are so busy with our daily chores that we hardly get time to take a break and think about ourselves. Trekking provides an opportunity to catch a breath and sync ourselves to be in tune with nature.
Undoubtedly, trekking is a holistic therapeutic. Unleash your adventurous spirit and explore new contours with me.
